The Local Government Unit of General Santos City (LGU Gensan) and the Mindanao State University – General Santos City (MSU Gensan) have again teamed up to bring to us the much-awaited Kalilangan Festival celebration.

Kalilangan marks the founding anniversary of General Santos City, and it was popularized by the late Mayor Antonio C. Acharon Sr., who served as mayor of General Santos City from 1954 to 1986. It features many activities such as street performances, food fairs, cultural shows, beauty pageants, parades, and fireworks displays.

This year’s Kalilangan Festival promises to be bigger and more spectacular than ever! Check out this list of events and activities to look forward to:

KALILANGAN FESTIVAL 2023 Event and Activity Schedule:

* Kick-Off Parade: a parade of colorful floats and marching bands heralding the start of the festivities.
* Street Dancing: Skilled dancers perform choreographed dances in streets and alleys for a whole day in the city.
* Cultural Shows: Participants from different parts of the city come together to present their culture. 

This year’s Kalilangan Festival also includes a variety of other events and activities, such as Kalilangan sa Barangay, Mall Show, Concerts, Singing Contest, Song Writing Competition, Fun Run, Zumba, National Flower Horn Shown Down, Hip Hop Showdown, LGP Invitational Boxing Tournament, Culture Arts & Summit, Trade Fair & Exhibits and many more activities that you will enjoy and witness during the Kalilangan Festival Month.
